ARMY OF THE DEAD Trailer

Yep, there’s another Zack Snyder movie coming your way, but instead of superheroes this one’s got zombies and a huge pile of cash.

In this genre mashup for Netflix, a massive zombie outbreak has left Las Vegas overrun. Everyone considers the city, along with all its supplies, lost, everyone except a group of visionary mercenaries. They think they can get through the hoard and grab a boatload of cash, which I guess is still valuable. If they pull it off they’ll be set for whatever comes next, and if they don’t, at least they’ll be surrounded by zombie friends.

The movie is a throwback of sorts for Snyder, whose first film was the 2004 version of Dawn of the Dead. He’s gone on to create plenty of hit movies and gain quite a reputation, with people having strong opinions on whether he’s good or bad at his job. The attention hasn’t deterred him from making big budget entertainment, though, and while Army of the Dead is a Netflix movie, it doesn’t look like they skimped on the action.

Dave Bautista headlines alongside Ella Purnell, Ana de la Reguera, Hiroyuki Sanada, and Garret Dillahunt. From the look of this trailer, they’ll mostly be asked to kill some zombies and crack some jokes, which they all should be able to handle.

Look, this is a movie that seems to know what it is. If you’re into that, then look forward to this being delivered directly to your home.

Army of the Dead is directed and co-written by Zack Snyder and stars Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell, Ana de la Reguera, Hiroyuki Sanada, and Garret Dillahunt. It will be released worldwide on Netflix on May 21st, 2021.
