Uncle Drew is the first feature length film about the fictional street basketball legend as portrayed by NBA star Kyrie Irving in a string of Pepsi Max commercials. Uncle Drew gets lured out of retirement by Dax (Lil Rel Howery), a young team manager who believes Uncle Drew still has what it takes to take on any team.

Dax believes Uncle Drew can win the basketball tournament to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the legendary Rucker Park basketball court. Uncle Drew agrees but only if he can pick his own team. As the tournament draws near, Uncle Drew and Dax travel the country to get the old gang back together.

It’s been a while since we had a basketball comedy like Space Jam, let’s hope Uncle Drew lives up to its potential.
