GONE GIRL Trailer

David Fincher‘s newest directorial outing is the thriller-drama Gone Girl, an adaptation of the novel by Gillian FlynnBen Affleck plays Nick Dunne who’s wife Amy, played by Rosamund Pike, goes missing. As is often the case, everyone points their finger at the husband, but there may be more to this mystery than meets the eye. The newest trailer certainly ramps up the tension over the first released trailer but they’re both worth watching, painting slightly different sides to the story. Check out the latest trailer below.

I love the tone that David Fincher sets in his films. They bleed a sense of the mood onto the screen. I really enjoyed his adaption of Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and I think he’ll knock this on out of the park. Trent Reznor announced on Twitter that he and Atticus Ross will be scoring the movie. They scored The Social Network and Dragon Tattoo as well so it’s a return to collaboration with the director and hopefully we’ll get powerful, moving music to mirror the emotion in the film.

The movie is slated to come out in the US and UK on October 3, 2014. For a list of other release dates look here. If you want to see the first official trailer, check it out over here.

What are your thought’s on David Fincher‘s film credits? Are you excited for this film? And if you’ve read the book, does that sway you either way on checking this one out in theaters? I think it’ll be worth the price of admission. Let us know what you think in the comments!
